New Test FAQs
Please see below a list of popular questions with regards to setting up new tests within Scorelink. Shall you have other questions that are not answered below please submit a support request.
Can I get a new test added to Scorelink? How do I do this?
To have a new test setup within Scorelink please see the guide Requesting a Test to ensure you provide us with all the necessary information we require to setup the test.
We use a test already in Scorelink, but the minimum or maximum value is different to what we use. Can we change this?
On occasion, some schools utilise the same test but may grade students differently and our existing test score ranges may not be suitable, changing test score ranges to suit a single school can cause issues, as the test configuration catalogue is maintained centrally and is identical in all schools. If this is the case and different score range values are required, we may be able to setup another version of the test, with a different minimum and maximum value range, however you will need to complete a new test request and can do this by following the guide Requesting a Test
Can Scorelink convert data from one score type (e.g. raw) to another (e.g. Reading age)?
Scorelink does offer the ability to convert data from one score type to another. When requesting a new test to be setup, you will need to provide the details on how this test will convert (e.g raw to Reading age) and will need to provide us with the conversion information which shall detail how each possible raw score, would convert to the appropriate reading age score. Usually this will be in the form of a table.
How long does it take to get a test added?
Our team will be adding tests once per month at the start of the month.
Can I add a test we developed ourselves (specific to our site/curriculum)?
You may add a test that you have developed yourself, however it is important to note that all schools with Scorelink shall also be able to access this test if they wish. Scorelink Tests are available to all schools with Scorelink and we do not have tests which are school specific at this time.
We use a test that doesn’t use numerical scores. Can we add this in?
We can setup tests that utilise non-numeric score results. Simply provide us with the list of possible all results and the order of each result, we can then set this up for you.
Can I get a copy of the test material or paper from you?
Whilst we do require you provide us with a copy of the test material when you setup a new test, we are unable to provide this information back to you if you were not the original requester of this test. This is due to our privacy and confidentiality agreements.
I want to know more about one of the tests in Scorelink. Can the support team help with this?
Our support team will always do their best to help our users get the most from Scorelink. If you have questions about a test in Scorelink, the support team should be able to assist.
