Configuring your school network (DECD)
Admin Computers
Please ensure is that the following proxy exception is added to the TELCO.REG file on the admin network. If the correct exception is not added to this file you may experience connectivity issues from your admin workstations.
- Login to an admin workstation using the manager account
- Navigate to Y:\Patches
- Edit telco.reg (Right Click > Edit)
- Search for the “ProxyOverride” string (CTRL+F enter ProxyOverride in search field > Find)
- Please add scorelink; to the string (Do not add if it already exists)
Eg. “ProxyOverride”=”scorelink;[Existing Addresses] - Save and Exit (File > Save, File > Exit)
DNS Entry
To ensure that the Scorelink hostname can be resolved on the admin network please request the following record be added to the administration DNS Server by requesting it through the DECD Customer Support Centre:
A Record
Name: scorelink
IP Address: <Scorelink IP Address>
Curriculum network
DNS Entry
To ensure that the Scorelink hostname can be resolved on the curriculum network please add the following record to your curriculum DNS Server:
A Record
Name: scorelink
IP Address: <Scorelink IP Address>
Proxy Override
Depending on how you push your proxy settings to your clients on the curriculum network you may need to add a proxy override for the hostname “scorelink”. Please test the following address from a web browser to ensure connectivity: http://scorelink
