Snapshot a Hyper-V virtual machine

  1. Log in as an administrator to the curriculum server that is running Hyper-V role. This will usually be a physical server not a virtual server.
  2. Open up Hyper-V Manager. This can be accessed by pressing the Start button and typing in Hyper-V, or at Start > Administrative Tools > Hyper-V Manager.
  3. Locate the Scorelink Server in the list of virtual machines: it will be named Scorelink.
  4. Right-click on the Scorelink Server and click Take Snapshot. This will take a backup of the entire virtual machine in its current configuration which can be restored at a later date.
